Be Aware of Taxi Permit Scams

The Land Transport Authority has received information regarding an increase in the number of taxi permit scams being reported by the public. There have been reports that some individuals who are pretending or impersonating LTA Officers, and offering to give Taxi Permits in exchange for money. The Authority advises the public that these certain individuals unknown to the LTA do not represent the Authority.

All LTA services and payment of fees are only done at LTA Offices and not in any other locations. The Authority will not be responsible for any illegal dealings done. Should you be approached by such persons, the public is asked to immediately report the incident to Police and the Authority.

The Authority advises that such illegal dealings attract criminal investigation and charges.
